The Chicago blues scene, a cradle of musical innovation, left an indelible mark on Alberto Gonzalez. Inspired by the raw emotion and gritty authenticity of the blues, he immersed himself in the genre's rich history, laying the foundation for a musical odyssey that would span over four decades.

Early on, In a serendipitous turn of fate, the transformative power of music revealed itself through the iconic sounds of Kiss, Rush, and Led Zeppelin. It was a revelation that shook the very core of his being, and he found himself drawn into a sonic vortex that would forever alter the trajectory of his musical journey. The heavy-hitting influence of Black Sabbath, Jimi Hendrix, and Judas Priest soon followed, sealing his destiny as a devoted guitar-playing metalhead.

As the '80s and '90s unfolded, he became a prominent figure in the Chicago music scene, lending his guitar prowess to various successful projects such as Sex with God, Choke Orchestra, Ten Ton Overdose, and Ticklepenny.

In 2012, a new chapter beckoned, leading him to the vibrant musical landscape of South Florida. It was here that he embraced the art of tribute, founding the powerful ensemble known as DEAD POETS. This three-headed monster paid homage to the legendary voices of Cornell, Staley, and Weiland, gracing larger venues and theaters throughout the southern region. Currently playing lead guitar for "In a Nutshell," a tribute to Alice in Chains, Alberto seamlessly weaves his sonic tapestry, capturing the essence of one of the most influential bands in the grunge era.

Yet, his musical journey doesn't stop there. As a member of Thru the Void, he is part of a collective that goes beyond just being another bar band. Thru the Void is a beacon of empowerment and positive connections, a musical force that transcends the stage to touch the hearts of its audience.

With a philosophy encapsulated in the mantra, "Rise High Above the Noise," Alberto lives by the creed of daring to be honest, authentic, and setting oneself apart from the rest. Through his unwavering commitment to the power of music, he continues to shape the sonic landscapes that define his extraordinary musical journey.
